Srinagar, Sep 29 (KNO): Northern Railway on Monday announced that several trains in the Jammu Division, which had been disrupted due to rains and waterlogging, will be resumed in the fourth phase, starting October 2.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the decision comes after safety inspections and gradual restoration of tracks and bridges.
Trains to be reinstated include Jammu Tawi–Kanpur (12470) from October 2, Jammu Tawi–Barauni (14692) and Jammu Tawi–Guwahati (15654) from October 3, Jammu Tawi–Gorakhpur (12588) from October 4, Jammu Tawi–Yoga Nagari Rishikesh (14606) from October 5, Jammu Tawi–Bhagalpur (15098) from October 7, and Jammu–Sealdah (22318) and Jammu Tawi–Guwahati (15652) from October 8.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said, “These trains are being reinstated after ensuring the safety and continuity of railway tracks.
Following the previous three phases, train operations are gradually being normalised. Passengers are advised to check schedules on the Northern Railway website or helpline numbers before travelling.”—(KNO)
